About:

I'm a Mexican-American artist and designer based in Austin, Texas. I create artwork using parametric 3D modeling as my primary medium. I recently graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, where my interest in graphic design, industrial design, and spatial systems developed into an artistic practice. I work primarily with Rhino 3D and Grasshopper, software developed for architecture and industrial design. Instead of using these tools to create functional objects, I use them to construct imagined environments that exist somewhere between architecture, sculpture, and abstraction.

My work is inspired by Jiddu Krishnamurti's idea of unconditioning the mind. Working within the fixed logic of computational systems, I explore the possibility of freedom within constraint. Much of my process involves connecting nodes that were never intended to work together, creating relationships that extend beyond their original purpose. I've made peace with the possibility that my work may never receive much recognition. I've seen too many extraordinary works of art and design pass unnoticed to believe recognition is what gives them value. I create because I'm curious, not because I'm chasing status, money, or the fear of being forgotten.
